Emerald Green Arborvitae (Botanical name: Thuja orientalis ‘Emerald Green’) is an excellent evergreen plant with many uses from stand alone specimen to a versatile semi-formal screen.  ‘Emerald Green’ does best in full sun reaching a mature height of about 15-18′ tall and usually about 6-8′ in width.  Also on special for $29.50 are 3-4′ Dark American Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis ‘Nigra’) similar in growth habit, less formal in appearance and reaching a mature height of 20-25′.  Dark American does well in either full sun or will tolerate part shade conditions.
